special needs
There are parents out there that are doing their child with special needs so a disservice. Just because there child has a disability doesnt mean that they are incapable of doing some every day things. I mean seriously, your child is 5 years old and they are still drinking out of a bottle? And when they throw things or break things you sont discipline them? The answer that I got was that they felt sorry for them....aaaahhhhhh. As a teacher this drives me bonkers. We can all learn, but it just takes some people a little while longer to learn. I can only do so much in 3 hours a day. I figured out the other day that if a student in my class has not missed any school and was there for the full 3 hours, i would have them for a total of 6 days. Not much time. Parents need to be held accountable. Im not saying that it is their soul responsiibility to teach their child, but it is not mine either. Ok, I am going to climb off of my soap box now.
